Fuzz Evil talks about their 2021 parody of "All You Need Is Love," by the Beatles.
Back in the early days of Fuzz Evil, someone commented, "All you need is Fuzz" on one of our YouTube videos. Over the years we've always joked about covering All you need is Love by the Beatles. Little did that commenter on YouTube know, that they had planted the seed for a monster of a project.
The interesting thing about the Original "All you need is Love" video. is that it was one of the first songs to be
recorded on live TV, with a room full of people. The original video is very good, and we wanted to pay tribute to it, as well as mock it in our version. We say mock it because, because anyone in 2020 making a heavy copy of a Beatles song with all those flowers and balloons just looks hilarious.
We ended up building the set in Joey's living room. Searching for costumes and building the props for this video was a great experience.
One of the other things we wanted to do was reach out to our friends and fans and have them contribute. We put out a call to have our fans make signs that say "All you Need is Fuzz" and submit them to us. The response was overwhelming. We ended up getting support from people all over the globe, including some really clever ones shown below:
Since Orgo moved to Las Vegas, he even went down to the strip to have some of the working folks hold signs for us. These two have to be some of my favorites:
Joey has some experience in making videos, He produced/directed/edited this whole thing. Take a look at the picture above, and see the sign in the background on the left. When editing this Joey left probably 20 easter eggs in the scenes. We won't spoil it for you, but the first one is about 15 seconds in. Happy hunting!
